Iran Shot Down Ukrainian Plane By Mistake
US intelligence agency now increasingly believe that the Ukrainian plane that crashed just a few hours after the missile strike on the US bases in Iraq, that it was brought down by a Russian-made air defense system that was being employed by Iranians.
They believe that this was a mistake obviously. But they are looking very closely at the Russian defense system, which is known as the SA 15. It’s a mobile missile launch system designed to protect and defend against incoming missiles.
Obviously, the Iranians would have turned such a system on if they were worried about retaliation from the US in the wake of those missile strikes on the bases where the Americans were in Iraq.
Again, this is a single source at this point but US officials familiar with the latest US intelligence suggests they increasingly believe that that Ukrainian plane was brought down by a Russian-made missile that was being employed by Iran.
A hundred seventy six (176) people died on that and some of the aviation experts have been saying that it looked like it was on fire before it hit the ground. Some experts said that the plane may have been trying to turn around.
